Don't take your tires for granted. They need a little TLC, too. Not a lot, but you do need to at least visually check them every so often. A visual check tells you a lot of important things. You will see how the tread is and how it's wearing, and if they are properly inflated. You can also use a penny test to see if you need new tires. Just stick a penny into the tread (head first) and if you can see Lincoln's head, then it's time to get tire shopping. You can also tell if you need an alignment by the way the tread is wearing. If it's wearing to the inside or the outside more, then an alignment will be needed to correct the problem. And if you're not sure on how much air to put in your tires, check the driver's door, or the glove box.
