The exterior of the SUV models on display in Richmond, KY has a unique futuristic aesthetic that is especially apparent in the front, as the vehicle does not need a grille. Sharp character lines and angles create a protruding front that culminates in a matte finish lower-body cladding. Cladding, angles, and lines continue along the SUV's wheel wells and door panels. Sharp lines in triplicate combine to form a single line that draws the eye rearward. A rear view of the SUV reveals more geometric lines and angles. The exterior lighting traverses across the width of the bZ4X for greater visibility.
The SUV's five-passenger interior is upholstered in fabric with soft material, black glossy, and textured metallic accents. All occupants are surrounded by ample support, making even the longest road trips comfortable. The automatic climate control system includes HVAC vents front and back to ensure a continuous cozy environment. Potential upgrades include heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel for added seasonal comfort. The rear area of all bZ4X models has 38.8 cubic feet of storage room that extends to 56.1 cubic feet when folding the 60/40 split rear seats.
Drivetrains for the 2023 bZ4X models depend on whether the vehicle has front- or all-wheel-drive. FWD models have a single 150-kWh motor and a 71.kWh battery to generate 201 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque. When fully charged, FWD vehicles travel up to 252 miles.
Available bZ4X models with AWD get an 80 kWh electric motor on each axle in combination with a battery pack to deliver 214 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. Vehicles with an AWD configuration travel up to 228 miles when fully charged.
Installing a level 2 AC charging system enables owners to fully charge the battery in approximately 9.5 hours. When on the road, using public DC fast charging stations brings the battery pack to 80% capacity in approximately 30 minutes.
Drivers in Richmond, KY easily make and take hands-free calls when wirelessly integrating a smartphone with the infotainment system, which comes with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen. The unit also has a six-speaker AM/FM stereo. Front-seat occupants keep their phones powered using the wireless charging pad. Five USB ports strategically positioned in the front and rear areas enable all occupants to recharge mobile devices. A seven-inch digital instrument panel displays vehicle information and activated assistance and safety features for the convenience of drivers.

Our bZ4X models are equipped with more than one dozen driver assist and safety features. Should sensors detect that cyclists, pedestrians, vehicles, or other objects are too close to the vehicle's front end, drivers receive a warning. If they do not immediately respond, the emergency braking system engages to slow or stop the vehicle. If the vehicle begins veering into another lane without an activated turn signal, a warning appears, and the steering assist gently corrects. Sensors on the side of the bZ4X warn drivers should they attempt to change lanes in the presence of another vehicle. The rearview camera comes in handy when backing out of a parking space or when parallel parking.
